Road Professor Driving School

The Road Professor Driving School specialises in providing driving lessons to learner drivers. Driving Lessons are aimed at helping young drivers as well as mature-aged drivers not just obtain their driver’s licence but also to continue to be safe drivers beyond their Drive Test.

One of the most important decisions parents of teenagers will make is selecting a driving instructor. Michael Thiedeman from the Road Professor Driving School was employed by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) for more than 37 years. The TAC manages claims from transport crashes involving cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses trains and trams.

Michael was involved in the investigation, assessment and negotiation of more than 20,000 personal injury claims resulting from these crashes.  This has given him extensive insight into the causes of crashes and the physical and psychological impact on individuals and families. In one of his management roles, Michael was the Manager of the Fatal Claims Division.

Michael draws on his wealth of experience and incorporates into his driving lessons many issues about Road Safety. For example, will issues regarding Road Safety be covered during driving lessons? Will the learner driver be taught to only pass the Drive Test or taught to be a safe driver?  Yes, they will be taught about road safety and safe driving.

Clients are taught in a vehicle with automatic transmission.

Michael was so patient and calm where my daughter felt relaxed and confident with him has her instructor. His technical knowledge provided throughout the lessons was so valuable for the test. Highly recommend Michael.
